Safer Recruitment Policy
Recruiting staff safely is key to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in schools and education. As a company Ramhorn Education adhere to all Department for Education policies.
We expect our staff to share this commitment and recognise this is only achieved through thorough vetting and adopting the correct procedures.
Ramhorn Education strive to achieve a diverse workforce and recognise the value in doing so. We actively look to attract and place candidates from different backgrounds with different skills and abilities.
We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to ensuring that our selection and recruitment process is fair and does not discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, disability, colour, nationality, religion, age, sex or sexual orientation.
All candidates are exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 with all convictions (spent & unspent) declared. Candidates require a barred list clearance & DBS certificate in line with our candidate vetting & safeguarding.
We are committed to ensure that all candidates with convictions are given a fair opportunity to apply and interview for positions. A criminal record does not mean a teaching position is unobtainable however our schools will be made aware of any convictions before decisions are made.
Our Vetting & safeguarding ensures that those who are unsuitable to work with children do not work with children. Also those who are disqualified from working with children do not work with children. Our applicants do require suitable skills and experience for the position they have applied to.
